Photographic Manipulation Clients want photographs "manipulated" for many different reasons. In the case of the photograph below, a single, 2 inch by 2 inch, damaged photograph was the only surviving image of the client's mother.
By scanning the image at high resolution and using a photographic manipulation program to alter the image, we were able to provide the client with a glossy, 8X10 photograph that retained the distinguishing characteristics (the remnants of the 1883 date at the top of the torn photo) while eliminating the folds and dark spots marring the image. Compare the original above with the enlarged final image that can be seen by clicking on the small image below.
Sometimes, the alterations needed are not so dramatic. Maybe it is just a few blemishes that need to be "brushed away" before adding an image to a publication.
Other times, an entire background may be so distracting it has to be removed to make the foreground image usable. Click on each image below to see the larger image.
Rates for photographic manipulation vary based on the project. Typical prices are illustrated below.
These prices include postage and packaging to return your photographs. Rates are slightly lower for digital (ready to manipulate) images. For photo-montages and other large projects, please contact us for an estimate. PlasmaLink Web Services also does some photographic and event recording work. Rates for photographic work are negotiated on a project basis. Please contact us with a description of the types of images you'd need. |
